I've been training in some fashion my entire life — sports, the weight room, track and field, and plenty more. As I started taking my fitness and health seriously, my supplement shelf grew. And the more I learned, the more I realized how much of what I'd been buying was marketing, not milligrams.
Proprietary blends that hid the doses. Pre-workouts that were 90% caffeine. Labels that looked impressive and delivered nothing. A new miracle ingredient every week, and a few hundred dollars a month to feel… basically nothing.
That's the line my coaches drilled into me growing up, and it's the whole idea behind this company. The basic stuff you already know — sleep, diet, cardio, resistance training, hydration — is the highest-impact thing you can do for your body. It's boring and unsexy to market, so most brands sell you the idea of health instead of the inputs that actually produce it.
When I was brainstorming names around “fundamental fitness supplementation,” I came across the word substrate — a foundational substance that serves as the base for something else to grow. That's exactly what we make: the fundamentals your body actually runs on.
