L-Citrulline

What it is

An amino acid found in watermelon. Your body turns it into arginine — the raw material for nitric oxide.

What it does

Boosts blood flow to working muscles. More blood flow means bigger pumps, better nutrient delivery, and more endurance during training.

The dose that works

6–8g of pure L-citrulline. Watch out for "citrulline malate" blends — they're roughly half citrulline.

Where it lives in the system

Pre (8g of the pure form) — because blood flow matters most in the hour you train.

Good to know

Citrulline actually raises arginine levels better than taking arginine itself.
